The use of hosepipes and sprinklers is banned throughout
Southern Water’s Sussex and Kent supply areas
and the Isle of Wight.
With effect from 3 April, there is a ban on the use
of hosepipes or sprinklers for the watering of private
(i.e. domestic) gardens, or for the washing of private
cars, caravans or trailers throughout our water supply
area.
The use of hosepipes and sprinklers is banned throughout
the Sussex and Kent supply area. A ban will be introduced
on 3 April in the north Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey
water supply area.
A hosepipe ban with be introduced on 3 April which
prohibits the watering of private gardens or washing
of private cars in the water supply area of North London,
Hertfordshire, parts of Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire,
Essex and Surrey.
The use of hosepipes and sprinklers for domestic purposes
is banned throughout the water supply area.

From 2 April the use of hosepipes and sprinklers is
banned throughout the water supply area.
There are no water restrictions currently in place
in the Portsmouth Water supply area.
Future restrictions on water use:
We are likely to see further restrictions across the
south east in the coming weeks and months. These will
include non-essential use bans. This could mean restrictions
on water use for watering parks and gardens and window
washing.
